Careers

We build slowly.
We build right.

Bamboo Green has been part of Penang since 1984. Four decades of craft, one family, and a quiet belief that flowers are the language people reach for when words fall short. We are growing — and we are looking for people who take their work seriously.

Full timeBukit Mertajam, Penang

Florist

We do not hire for speed alone. We hire for care.

You will work alongside our creative team to execute arrangements that span daily orders, grand openings, condolence tributes, weddings, and our Omakase offering. The work is physical, deadline-driven, and — on the right days — quietly extraordinary.

What you will do
  • Design and construct arrangements across occasions and styles
  • Condition and handle fresh, preserved, and specialty florals
  • Work within creative briefs set by the Creative Director
  • Maintain the studio — preparation, staging, and post-arrangement care
  • Uphold quality before every order leaves
  • Assist, where needed, with client-facing moments and event setups
What we are looking for
  • Prior floristry or craft experience — preferred; strong self-taught candidates welcome
  • A clean hand and a mind that respects deadlines
  • Comfortable taking direction within a structured team
  • Physically able to sustain long hours on peak order days
  • Based in or commuting to Bukit Mertajam, Penang
This is not an open creative brief. Direction comes from above. Your skill is in execution — and the standard here is high.
What we offer
  • Full-time employment with EPF and SOCSO
  • A studio built on 42 years of accumulated craft
  • Exposure to premium floral design across weddings, events, and daily luxury orders
  • Room to grow as the brand expands
What to include
  • CV with work history and contact details
  • Photos of past floral arrangements — phone quality is fine
Internship programme

Three disciplines.
Real work.
One studio.

Running since 2024.

We have been running this programme for over two years across multiple cohorts. Interns here work on live briefs, real campaigns, and actual orders — not tasks invented to fill the time. We invest in people who invest in the work.

Positions are open across content creation, videography, and marketing. All roles run for 3 to 6 months, carry a monthly allowance, and close with a letter of recommendation. Write to us even if your timing does not match what is currently listed.

Internship · 3–6 monthsOpen from August 2026

Content creation intern

Bring a good eye. The flowers will do the rest.

Every arrangement we make has a story. This internship is for someone who knows how to find it — and tell it well. Through imagery, captions, and the considered rhythm of what gets published and when, you will help shape how Bamboo Green communicates across every platform where our audience finds us.

What you will do
  • Capture studio and product content — photography and short-form video
  • Draft captions and copy in our brand voice — precise, no filler, no shortcuts
  • Develop short-form video concepts and assist with quick-turn social edits
  • Support content scheduling and forward planning across platforms
  • Contribute ideas to seasonal and campaign content
What we are looking for
  • Pursuing a degree or diploma in Communications, Marketing, Design, or Digital Media
  • A good eye for light, composition, and detail
  • Comfortable across social platforms and content tools — CapCut or similar
  • Can write in English and Mandarin; Bahasa Malaysia is a bonus
  • Self-directed — does not wait to be told what to do
What to include
  • CV with contact details and course of study
  • Link to any content you have created — Instagram, TikTok, Google Drive
  • 2–3 sample captions written for a Bamboo Green post (optional but encouraged)
Internship · 3–6 monthsOpen from October 2026

Videographer intern

The brief is the studio. The subject is flowers. The standard is high.

We produce a growing volume of video — social content, seasonal collection films, and behind-the-scenes. This role is for someone who treats the camera as a craft tool, not just a phone feature. You will shoot, edit, and deliver work that makes the brand look the way it deserves to look.

What you will do
  • Shoot social video — short-form and behind-the-scenes for daily content
  • Produce and edit video for seasonal collection launches and brand campaigns
  • Support photography during shoots and busy order periods
  • Manage footage and deliver edited files to the creative team
  • Work within visual briefs set by the Creative Director
What we are looking for
  • Pursuing a degree or diploma in Film, Media Production, Communications, or similar
  • Comfortable operating a camera — DSLR, mirrorless, or professional phone setup
  • Working knowledge of Premiere Pro, Jian Ying, CapCut, or similar
  • An eye for motion, pacing, and visual storytelling
  • Can move quickly without sacrificing quality
What to include
  • CV with contact details and course of study
  • Link to any video you have shot or edited — YouTube, Google Drive, WeTransfer
  • Software you are most comfortable working in
Internship · 3–6 monthsOpen from August 2026

Marketing intern

Creativity without strategy is decoration. Both matter here.

We are growing our digital presence deliberately — not just posting more, but building better foundations for how we reach people online. This internship is for someone who thinks in systems, is comfortable between creative and commercial, and wants to understand how a brand actually grows.

What you will do
  • Support campaign planning and execution for seasonal launches and promotions
  • Assist with digital marketing coordination — social ads, search ads, email
  • Track and report on campaign performance across channels
  • Coordinate between content, production, and commercial teams
  • Help maintain the Shopify catalogue and promotional setups
  • Contribute to marketing calendars and campaign briefing documents
What we are looking for
  • Pursuing a degree or diploma in Marketing, Business, Communications, or Digital Media
  • Comfortable with data — can read numbers, spot a trend, ask the right question
  • Some familiarity with Meta Ads, Google Ads, or similar is a bonus
  • Organised and reliable — this role touches many moving parts
  • Can write in English and Mandarin; Bahasa Malaysia is a bonus
What to include
  • CV with contact details and course of study
  • 3–5 sentences on why Bamboo Green
  • Any campaign or project work from your studies (optional)
